Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They make websites work more efficiently, provide analytics, and deliver a better experience. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and session storage.

Kaer runs on essential cookies only. We do not set analytics, functional, or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner to accept or dismiss. We do count visits to our own sites without cookies; see Visit statistics below, which also explains how to switch it off.

To understand how our sites are used and where they fall short, Kaer counts visits to kaer.ai, app.kaer.ai and api.kaer.ai itself. For each page we record: the page address with anything that could identify a record or a person removed (IDs, tokens and email addresses are replaced), how long the page was in view and how far it was scrolled, links followed from it (our own pages by type, other sites by site name only), the site that referred you (site name only), any campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign), your country, your device type (desktop, tablet or phone), your browser family, and whether you were signed in.

This uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To tell one visit from another on the same day, our server combines your IP address and browser details with a random value that changes every day and is deleted after two days. The result is a daily visitor number that cannot be traced back to you, reversed, or linked to another day. Your IP address and browser details are never stored for this.

The statistics stay with Kaer: no third-party analytics service, no advertising, no tracking across other websites and no profile of you. We keep the counts for 400 days. We do this in our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our sites, and you can switch it off at any time:

Switching off stores one preference cookie, kaer_noanalytics, whose only job is to remember that choice. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, your visits are not counted and you don’t need to do anything.

The only third party that may set its own cookies is our payment processor, and only when you check out. We don’t control cookies set by third parties; refer to their respective policies.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertising networks.

There is no consent to withdraw: we set no non-essential cookies, so there are no analytics or functional cookies to switch off (cookieless visit statistics have their own switch, above). If you accepted cookies on an earlier version of this site, you can delete any cookies already stored through your browser.

Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

• View what cookies are stored on your device.
• Delete individual or all cookies.
• Block cookies from specific or all websites.
• Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set.

Blocking or deleting essential cookies may impair the Service — you may not be able to sign in or use certain features.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or “Global Privacy Control” (GPC) signal. We honour both: when your browser sends either, we do not count your visits. You can manage your cookie settings through your browser at any time.

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We’ll post the updated policy here and update the date. For material changes, we’ll provide notice by email.
